Testimonials

Age is a great teacher! I have studied Dutch on a weekly basis with Age for many years. He has taken my Dutch to a level at which I now work and socialize in Dutch comfortably on a daily basis. Age is smart, creative, and down-to-earth in his approach. He goes the extra mile to personalize his lessons, including giving me novels of just the right level, appropriate grammar books, films to watch, writing assignments, recordings to make, etc. This personalized approach is essential for learning this language, especially since so many of the Dutch speak English. Since I arrived in the Netherlands, one of my goals was to integrate on a high level, including language. Age has made this possible. I am very grateful and highly recommend him!

Age is a great teacher and I highly recommend him for Dutch lessons. He has a very relaxed and patient approach to teaching, progressively introducing new concepts and challenges to grow and succeed in language development. We spend the lessons reviewing older concepts and introducing new ones in the delightful natural context of regular conversation. I feel comfortable and welcome in my new language through his expert help and guidance.

Costs & Scheduling

Choose the amount of lessons that suits you.

Costs per lesson/month

A 1-hour lesson costs € 53. So the monthly costs of weekly lessons of one hour are around € 200.
A 1.5-hour lesson costs € 75.
Dutch Language lessons are exempted from VAT/BTW.

Flexible lesson plans, schedules, reschedule

Lessons are typically scheduled once or twice per week. I give my student a time slot, every week the same day and time. You are always free to reschedule, move a lesson to another day or skip lessons. You will not be charged for lessons cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.

I am available for lessons Monday–Friday, 10:00–22:00.

Student preparation for the lessons

To use the lessons time efficiently, you would need around two hours of self-study for every lesson.

How many lessons do I need?

Most of my students come once per week. For beginners, I recommend to have at least 1.5 hour of lessons per week.
You don’t need that many hours of individual lesson. You prepare the lessons with self study, so in the lesson we focus on difficulties and your conversation.

How do I pay?

I can send you an invoice for lessons per month or a number of lessons.
It is also possible to pay per lesson by bank or cash.

Where do the lessons take place?

The lessons take place at my location in Amsterdam West: Vancouverstraat 24-3.

I can come to your place or office, for which I charge my travel time.

Online lessons are also possible.
I am fully equipped with professional microphone and camera.
This is also a good option when you are traveling but don’t want to skip your lesson.
